20TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION

The Australian Bicentennial Exhibition returns to Exhibition Park in Canberra!

EPIC will now be the venue for our 20 Year Reunion.

Yes, the very same site where the Exhibition was held in Canberra in 1988!

Gather for two nights with your former ABE colleagues in Canberra.

WHEN: Friday 14th November, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th November 2008

WHERE: Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC)

LOCATION AND VENUE

Exhibition Park In Canberra (EPIC) - Remember it?

We will be allocated a private function venue for the Saturday night dinner function and Sunday brunch.

Both functions will be catered. BYO drinks for all events.

ACCOMMODATION OPTION A

On-site camping is available at $10.00 per night for a powered site or $5.00 per night for an unpowered site.

All the usual campsite facilities will be available and we will be allocated a dedicated ABE area.

On-site 4 berth vans are available for hire at a cost of $100.00 for two nights. Why not get your "van buddies" back together for old times' sake?

Even if you stay off-site, you will still be able to visit and socialise at the ABE campsite at EPIC.

PROPOSED AGENDA

Friday

  • casual get-together at a meeting place yet to be decided

  • make own arrangements for dinner

  • late night campsite socialising at EPIC

Saturday

  • do your own thing during the day

  • with or without your fellow reunionists

  • visit some of Canberra's many tourist attractions

  • we will suggest some group outings closer to the time

  • just do some 'catching up' around the campsite

  • Saturday night - the main event - Reunion Dinner at EPIC

Sunday

  • Sunday 'recovery' brunch at EPIC

  • no hurry to check out of campsite

  • say goodbye to your colleagues for another 5 or 10 years!

MONEY STUFF

Reunion cost is to be paid with your RSVP.

The total cost for adults is $50.00 PLUS whichever accommodation you choose.

This covers the Saturday night function, Sunday 'recovery' brunch and a reunion souvenir.

On-site van rental to be paid at least one month before the reunion - but please include booking details on your RSVP.

Camping fees can be collected on the weekend of the reunion - but please include booking details on your RSVP.

If you wish you can pay everything up-front and then forget about it!

Preferred method of payment is direct to the bank account. Please include your name on the lodgement and send email with RSVP details.
